Baseball Recap: Sterling Gets the Win

The Sterling Golden Warriors were able to grind out a solid victory over the Bureau Valley Storm on Tuesday, taking the game 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Warriors.

The team relied heavily on Bryce Hartman, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Cassens, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Sterling's record now sits at 10-16. As for Bureau Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-7.

Coming up, Sterling will host Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bureau Valley, they will take on Alleman at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
