Basketball Recap: Michael Martinez Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

Legacy won the last time they faced Bell and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Legacy Tigers managed a 61-55 win over the Bell Eagles.

Legacy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Martinez, who posted 29 points. The dominant performance gave Martinez a new career-high in points. Diego Escobedo was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Legacy's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Bell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing South East the next time they take the court. Legacy will host South East at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Bell will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
