Basketball Game Preview: Elliot Christian Eagles vs. Turlock Christian Eagles

Elliot Christian is 1-9 against Turlock Christian since November of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Elliot Christian Eagles will get right back to it and host the Turlock Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

Elliot Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Tioga with a sharp 70-46 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Jeremy Nielsen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 39 points and 11 steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kaden Kirby, who posted six points in addition to 24 boards and four steals.

Elliot Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Turlock Christian over Elliot Christian in every quarter on their way to victory last Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Turlock Christian blew Elliot Christian out of the water with a 74-43 final score. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for Turlock Christian this season.

Elliot Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Turlock Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Elliot Christian was taken down by Turlock Christian 74-43 when the teams last played last Monday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Elliot Christian was down 40-17.
