The Master's Academy Eagles will square off against the Eustis Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Master's Academy had just enough and edged out Orangewood Christian 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Reagan Peri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Master's Academy's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isa Moya, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Moya also hit a hit, marking her first of the season.
Meanwhile, Eustis had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Taylor a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won ten contests in a row dating back to last season.
Carson Roden looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ella Fleming, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Brooklynn Mason was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Eustis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
Master's Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs over those games. As for Eustis, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
