The Harvest Prep Warriors meant business on Saturday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Jaguars squad that has allowed just 27.88 points per contest. Harvest Prep enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over Wellington School. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harvest Prep.
Harvest Prep was led to victory by Maliyah Lofton and Mo?nae Gamble. Lofton scored 20 points along with six assists, while Gamble dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The game was Lofton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Israelle Smith, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Harvest Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Wellington School, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Johnstown-Monroe at 1:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Wellington School, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairfield Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfield Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Wellington School is ranked 228th).
