Castlewood was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost to the Sioux Valley Cossacks on the road  by a   70-51 margin. The Warriors were not able to make up for their  loss to the Cossacks from their previous meeting  back in February of 2024.

 Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Sophia Kudrna, who  posted 14 points. Kudrna is also on a roll when it comes to  field goal percentage, as she's  posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's  played.  Ava Ruml was another key player,  putting up ten  points and five  rebounds.
Castlewood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Sioux Valley, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Castlewood will head out to  square off against Estelline/Hendricks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Castlewood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sioux Valley, they are taking a road trip to  take on Garretson  at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. One thing working in Sioux Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last five matchups.
