Deer Valley won the last time they faced Pittsburg and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Wolverines blew past the Pirates 3-0. The Wolverines not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since August 26th (when they won  3-0).

Deer Valley found their leader in sophomore  Hazel Toliao, who  had 14  digs and two  aces.  Jiana Gonzales also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  kill of the season.
 Deer Valley  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 17  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pittsburg only  served five  aces.
 Despite the  defeat, Pittsburg had strong showings from  Leilani Flood, who  had six  digs and two  aces, and  Alicia Suacillo, who  had seven  digs.
Deer Valley's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 8-9. As for Pittsburg,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-10.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Deer Valley is set to  take on  their familiar foe Heritage  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pittsburg will  square off against  rival Antioch  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
