There's no place like home for the Oakcrest Chargers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 45-39 W over Foxcroft on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Oakcrest, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Oakcrest found their leader in underclassman Kate Newsome, who scored 30 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for Newsome. Another player making a difference was Amal Mohammed, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Oakcrest's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Foxcroft, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Oakcrest will head out on the road to face off against Immanuel Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Immanuel Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Foxcroft, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
