On Saturday, The Cheshire Academy Cats''s game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Taft School. Given Cheshire Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked second, while Taft School is ranked 35th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mills was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. Cheshire Academy also got help from Teriq Mallory who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.
Cheshire Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 6-1 Phillips Exeter Academy and 6-2 Deerfield Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.6% over those games). As for Taft School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
