The Greenwood Rangers will face off against the Randall Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Greenwood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 30 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 90-54 win over Sweetwater on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-32.
Tatum Pierce continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 46 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Greenwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Presley, who scored 15 points.
Even though Randall has not done well against Frenship recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Randall managed a 69-63 victory over Frenship. The win made it back-to-back wins for Randall.
Greenwood's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Randall, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Greenwood took a serious blow against Randall when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 89-46. Can Greenwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
