Huffman is 7-2 against Jackson-Olin since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Huffman Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Jackson-Olin Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Huffman has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Huffman is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Parker last Saturday. They came up short against the Thundering Herd, falling 11-2.

Huffman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mekhidric Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Dylan Craig was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parker.

Jackson-Olin got a massive performance out of DaTrell Evans, who scored a run and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-5. Evans also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ricky Bell, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Huffman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Huffman was able to grind out a solid win over Jackson-Olin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 10-6. Does Huffman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jackson-Olin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
