West Memphis fell victim to Valley View and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Blazers.
West Memphis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Choate, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, White Station got the win against Southaven on Wednesday by a conclusive 16-6. Considering the Spartans have won four matchups by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dominick Lewis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Cooper Walter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Demarcus Covington was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
White Station was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
West Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for White Station, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. West Memphis has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like White Station struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
