In what's become a running theme this season, the Cotopaxi Pirates gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They really took it to Swallows Charter Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-13 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cotopaxi has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cotopaxi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Fieth, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Fieth is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Merrill, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cotopaxi's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Swallows Charter Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Cotopaxi will take on Custer County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Swallows Charter Academy, they will be playing at home against Peyton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Peyton will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
