Window Rock and Ganado are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Window Rock Fighting Scouts will head out on the road to face off against the Ganado Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Window Rock and six for Ganado.
Window Rock fell victim to Monument Valley's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Mustangs 56-0. Window Rock was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, Ganado came up short against Chinle on Friday and fell 32-19.
Window Rock's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.6 points per game. As for Ganado, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Window Rock against Ganado in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 55-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Window Rock since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
