Hurricane has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Hurricane pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Desert Hills.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Cayleb Jackman, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more blocks the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Hurst, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-61 to Desert Hills.
Hurricane has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Crimson Cliffs, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Hurricane came up short against Crimson Cliffs in their previous matchup back in January, falling 76-64. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Crimson Cliffs' Sean Felts, who scored 39 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
