The Twin Falls Bruins will head out to challenge the Mountain Home Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Twin Falls will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Twin Falls barely beat Burley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Audrey Gourley made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Libby Torgrimson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Molly Hodge, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Twin Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mountain Home had just enough and edged out Canyon Ridge 8-7 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Like Twin Falls, Mountain Home also got a great game from a two-way player: Avery Blair. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Blair was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Madison Cotton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Orie Rau was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one double.
Twin Falls' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain Home, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Twin Falls' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Bruins have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Mountain Home, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Twin Falls continue to outrun the ball?
Twin Falls took their win against Mountain Home in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
