Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, Iowa) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 21-14 victory over
Le Mars (Iowa) on Saturday. The Titans captured the lead for good when
Austin Simmons thew a touchdown to
Luke Harrison.
The score was knotted at 14 heading into the half. The Titans took the lead for good on a touchdown pass by Simmons to Harrison with 2:00 to go in the fourth quarter.
Harrison stood out for Lewis Central in the win. He caught two touchdowns.
LC came into the game allowing 12.9 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Le Mars, which notched a 10-7 victory over Carroll in its previous outing. With the win the Council Bluffs school extended its winning streak to three games. The loss snapped the Bulldogs' 2-game winning streak.
