Millbrook entered their tilt with the Huskies with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Millbrook walked away with a 48-41 victory over the Huskies on Friday.
Aaliyah Graham and Lauren Brown were among the main playmakers for Millbrook as the former scored 15 points along with three steals and the latter scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Millbrook's points. Another player making a difference was Grace Bardeen, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Wakefield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 64-52 to Rolesville. Wakefield has struggled against the Rams recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Things could have been worse for Millbrook, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-42 loss to the Wolverines when the teams last played two weeks ago.
