Basketball Recap: Villa Angela-St. Joseph Skates Past Euclid with Ease

While Villa Angela-St. Joseph didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to the Euclid Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-38 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Villa Angela-St. Joseph was led to victory by Elizabeth Dunmire and Sydney Dunmire. Elizabeth dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards, while Sydney dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The contest was Elizabeth's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kya Bell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
