Having just played yesterday, the East Lake Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Green Level Gators at 10:00 a.m. on December 29th. East Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though St. Petersburg scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, East Lake still came out on top. East Lake strolled past St. Petersburg with points to spare, taking the game 72-56.
East Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Church, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Anthony Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Green Level put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 57-53 win over Calvary Christian. Given Green Level's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 27th in North Carolina, while Calvary Christian is ranked 377th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
