While Edgewood's win against Northview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Knights 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Jackson Huber tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Edgewood's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carter Hayden, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Edgewood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Northview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Edgewood will square off against Owen Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northview, they will host Plainfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Quakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
