Softball Recap: South Lyon Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

South Lyon barely beat Walled Lake Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

South Lyon's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Walled Lake Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Coincidentally, South Lyon and Walled Lake Central will both be playing Walled Lake Northern the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
