The Meadows School Mustangs entered their tilt with the Lakeside Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The Meadows School enjoyed a cozy 47-30 win over Lakeside on Monday. Given The Meadows School's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 46th in Nevada, while Lakeside is ranked 193rd in Washington), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cyrus Hutchison, who almost dropped a triple-double on 25 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Williams Quinn, who scored 13 points.
The victory got The Meadows School back to even at 4-4. As for Lakeside, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
The Meadows School and Franklin will round out the year against one another at 9:00 p.m. on December 27th at. Lakeside won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on December 19th. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.
