They received a tough blow as they fell 52-35 to Chillicothe. Chillicothe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from James Mathew, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Mathew hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Jaishon White was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Platte Valley co-op [South Nodaway/Jefferson]'s defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Chillicothe won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Kauffman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Hornets are ranked 88th).
