On Friday, The Schuylerville Horses got themselves on the board against the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks, but the Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks never followed suit. They blew past the Riverhawks 55-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Schuylerville, who have now won six matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Schuylerville's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Coxsackie-Athens, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylerville will square off against Taconic Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Taconic Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Schuylerville is ranked 90th). As for Coxsackie-Athens, they will head out on the road to face off against Hoosick Falls/Tamarac on Friday. The timing is sure in Hoosick Falls/Tamarac's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Coxsackie-Athens has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
