With a 13-0 record that includes a pair of tournament victories, Houston-area powerhouse Atascocita isn't clowning around in the early going this season – despite photographic evidence to the contrary.

After handling Shiloh (Snellville, Ga.) and Westlake (Atlanta, Ga.) over the weekend, the Eagles will face No. 9 Huntington St. Joseph Prep in an ESPN2-televised game Monday night.
2. (2) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 8-0Following a week off, the Lakers hit the floor again Wednesday to take on Michigan City (Ind.).
3. (5) Chino Hills (Calif.), 5-0It's easy to get sucked up in preseason hype and there was
a lot of it surrounding the Ball brothers and Chino Hills this fall. Incredibly, the Huskies have probably surpassed it early on. Sweeping five contests at the Battle Zone tournament last week, head coach Steve Baik's club averaged 108.4 points per game and won all five by 20 or more.
4. (6) Atascocita (Humble, Texas), 13-0Winners of two tournaments already, the Eagles head north this weekend for a matchup with defending Minnesota 3A champ DeLaSalle (Minneapolis).
5. (NR) Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.), 9-1After extensive discussions with folks at Prolific Prep over the weekend, we've opted to include the non-traditional NorCal program in the rankings. It's a similar model to
Huntington St. Joseph Prep (who has been recognized in our rankings since 2010) and the players are all under one roof academically this year after being fanned out to various schools around Napa in 2014-15. Led by
Josh Jackson, Prolific Prep has compiled a string of impressive wins this season, including Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.), Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.), aforementioned Huntington St. Joseph Prep and Advanced Prep International (Dallas, Texas).
6. (4) Garfield (Seattle, Wash.), 1-0The Bulldogs took care of business in their opener Friday night, blasting Metro League foe Nathan Hale (Seattle) 96-46.
7. (9) DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), 2-0Big win for the Stags on Saturday night at the Chicago Elite Classic, beating St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) 65-57. SVSM – LeBron's alma mater – was ranked as high as No. 3 nationally a year ago and has several key performers back from that team.
8. (8) Roman Catholic (Philadelphia), 1-0Lamar Stevens led Roman with 22 points in a 70-38 season-opening win over Parkland (Allentown).
9. (7) Huntington St. Joseph Prep (Huntington, W.Va.), 9-1Tough to penalize the Fighting Irish too much for a loss at the Marshall County Hoopfest to buzzsaw Prolific Prep. Huntington St. Joseph Prep bounced back the following night for a win over talented Quality Education Academy (Winston-Salem, N.C.), setting up Monday's showdown with No. 1 Montverde Academy.
10. (13) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 8-0Measurable tests ahead for the Pilots, who face Phoenix powers Desert Vista, Shadow Mountain and St. Mary's this weekend.
11. (16) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 9-1The Warriors get a boost after beating then-No. 3 Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.) and Canada's Athlete Institute featuring Thon Maker over the weekend at the Marshall County Hoopfest.
12. (15) Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.), 7-0With five players on the roster over 6-foot-7, the Eagles continue to impress in the Deep South. Six juniors and a sophomore are regulars in Greenforest's rotation.
13. (12) Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 1-0After beating Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, Ill.) at the Chicago Elite Classic, the Monarchs will participate in the Corona del Mar Beach Bash this week.
14. (3) Chaminade (St. Louis, Mo.), 2-1Head coach Frank Bennett lined up a grueling opening week for his Red Devils that included games against No. 11 Oak Hill Academy and then-No. 25 Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.) at two different events in two different states. Chaminade's late rally against Oak Hill Academy came up short while it outlasted Miller Grove in overtime behind 40 points from
Jayson Tatum.
15. (18) Apple Valley (Minn.), 4-0Quietly, Apple Valley notched one of the biggest wins of the weekend from a national perspective. Facing Iowa Class 4A favorite Iowa City West at the Timberwolves Shootout,
Gary Trent Jr. went for 25 points to lead the Eagles to a 72-64 win. Iowa City West entered the contest with a record of 102-4 since the 2011-12 season.
16. (10) Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.), 0-0Season opener Dec. 20 vs. East Side (Newark).
17. (11) St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), 0-0Season opener Dec. 18 vs. Corona del Sol (Tempe, Ariz.) at Hoophall West.
18. (14) Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia), 1-0The Saints have a tough weekend ahead at the Buckeye Elite National Showcase in Ohio with games against Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.) and in-state power Garfield Heights.
19. (17) The Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.), 0-0Season opener Dec. 19 at the City of Palms Classic. Of note on the Celtics,
Jeremy Schneider and Matthew Stanmyre of NJ.com reported Sunday night that controversial former Rutgers coach Mike Rice will step in to lead the program on an interim basis.

22. (22) Stevens Point (Wis.), 3-0After an impressive 80-55 win over Riverside (Milwaukee), the Panthers have won 52 of their last 54 games dating back to 2013.
23. (23) Bentonville (Ark.), 3-0The Tigers hosted and won the Crabtree Tournament last week, beating Huntington (Shreveport, La.) in the final 77-53. A big matchup with No. 14 Chaminade is on the schedule next Saturday.
24. (NR) Morgan Park (Chicago), 2-0This spot could have gone to fellow Windy City juggernaut Simeon. Won't have to wait long to settle that debate as the two meet Thursday.
25. (NR) Westerville South (Westerville, Ohio), 2-0Headed to the City of Palms Classic later this month, the Wildcats look strong out of the gate after going 27-2 a year ago.
