The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Pine View falling 57-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with Desert Hills: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Pine View saw an underclassman step up: Reese Gustin scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Gustin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Adrianna Adams was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Desert Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
