The Shenango Wildcats will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Laurel Spartan at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Shenango and Leechburg were almost perfectly matched up, but Shenango suffered an agonizing 27-26 defeat.
Meanwhile, Laurel can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Summit Academy 30-6. Laurel's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Laurel can attribute much of their success to Ben Hennon, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Luca Santini was another key contributor, throwing for 77 yards and two touchdowns on only three passes.
Shenango now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Laurel, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Shenango was dealt a bruising 35-0 loss at the hands of Laurel in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Shenango have more luck at home instead of on the road?
