The Ashwaubenon Jaguars will head out on the road to  square off against  the Bay Port Pirates  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Ashwaubenon will be strutting in after a  win while Bay Port will be coming in after a  loss.
While Ashwaubenon's  victory against Sheboygan North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars won by a  run and slipped past the Golden Raiders  2-1. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by  just one  run.

Ashwaubenon got a great performance from  Nick Smith as he  tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. What's more,  Smith posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Bay Port entered their  match against Vel Phillips Memorial  on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Pirates fell  5-2 to the Spartans.
  Carson Hawley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Ashwaubenon's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-6. As for Bay Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
