St. Mary is 0-3 against Christian Heritage since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. St. Mary's will head out on the road to challenge the Christian Heritage Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, St. Mary's was able to grind out a solid win over Regents Academy, taking the game 55-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Mary's.
Evan Hodge was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Brogan, who scored eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Christian Heritage scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Athens Christian Preparatory Academy, posting a 76-44 victory on the road.
St. Mary's has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Christian Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
St. Mary's was dealt a bruising 62-28 defeat at the hands of Christian Heritage when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can St. Mary's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
