Betsy Layne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Parsons, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Hall, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Betsy Layne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Phelps, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Betsy Layne's road trip will continue as they head out to face Martin County at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Phelps, they will head out on the road to challenge Belfry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Belfry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday.
