Even though the Phelps Hornets scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Betsy Layne Bobcats still came out on top. Betsy Layne blew past Phelps 93-56 on the road. That 37 points margin sets a new team best for Betsy Layne this season.
Betsy Layne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Parsons, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Hall, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Betsy Layne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Phelps, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Betsy Layne's road trip will continue as they head out to face Martin County at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Martin County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 258 points over their last four contests. As for Phelps, they will head out on the road to challenge Belfry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Belfry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday.
