The Pass Christian Pirates will be playing at home against the Richland Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Pass Christian was not the first on the board last Thursday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 35-27 victory over Bay. Given Pass Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Bay is ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Pass Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ladd Scriber out in front who threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. Terry Patton Jr was another key contributor, gaining 87 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Richland can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-20 victory over St. Andrew's Episcopal. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-13.
JaQuavion Young was a one-man wrecking crew for Richland as he rushed for 115 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.
Their wins bumped Pass Christian to 7-2 and Richland to 6-4.
