Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Williamstown

Williamstown had won four straight games and Nick Mascitti did his part to make it five on Wednesday. The Williamstown Blue Devils strolled past the Bellows Free Academy Bullets with points to spare, taking the game 73-55 thanks in part to Mascitti, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 14 boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Laggner, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Williamstown has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Bellows Free Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Williamstown has already played their next matchup (against Grace Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bellows Free Academy will face off against Winooski at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bellows Free Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Winooski likes a good challenge.
