The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes entered their tilt with the Lexington Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Dutch Fork took down the Wildcats 48-33 on Tuesday. This was payback for Dutch Fork, who suffered a 39-38 loss the last time these two teams met.
Dutch Fork got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michaela Fairwell out in front who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. Fairwell hasn't dropped below five steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Christyonna Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Lexington saw an underclassman step up: Sydni Anderson scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Dutch Fork's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Dutch Fork will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. White Knoll is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Lexington, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chapin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
