The Napoleon Wildcats will challenge the Bowling Green Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Napoleon will be strutting in after a victory while Bowling Green will be coming in after a defeat.
Napoleon not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 16-1). Everything went their way against Whitmer as they made off with a 13-5 win.
Arianna Kiessling (Jr) was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Kiessling (Jr) was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Grisier (Jr), who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Carmen Rupp was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Napoleon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Bowling Green came up short against Findlay on Monday, falling 10-2.
Bowling Green saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Wilkie, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
Bowling Green has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Napoleon, the victory got them back to even at 9-9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Napoleon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bowling Green struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Napoleon was able to grind out a solid win over Bowling Green in their previous meeting on April 9th, winning 6-2. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
