Baseball Recap: Academy of Science and Innovation Takes a Loss

Academy of Science and Innovation was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to the Prince RVT Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 13-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Academy of Science and Innovation saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Grant, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Grant is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Academy of Science and Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prince RVT, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Science and Innovation will head out to take on Parish Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Ravens will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Prince RVT, they will head out on the road to square off against Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
