Wilcox County is a perfect 9-0 against Montgomery County since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wilcox County Patriots will challenge the Montgomery County Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Wilcox County and ten for Montgomery County dating back to last season.

Wilcox County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Veterans last Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 5-3.

Wilcox County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deacon Harper, who went 2-for-4 with one home run. What's more, Harper posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Cade Keene also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County lost 11-1 to Appling County on Monday.

Wilcox County's record now sits at 1-3. As for Montgomery County, their record now sits at 0-7.
