Basketball Recap: Chance Taylor Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dunbar

North Fort Myers lost to Dunbar back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The North Fort Myers Red Knights snuck past the Dunbar Tigers with a 56-51 win. That's two games straight that the Red Knights have won by exactly five points.

North Fort Myers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chance Taylor out in front who posted 13 points and five boards. What's more, Taylor also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Robert Ballesteros, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for North Fort Myers and bumps their season record up to 11-14. As for Dunbar, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

North Fort Myers has already played their next contest, a 56-43 victory against Mariner on the 3rd. As for Dunbar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-55 win against South Fort Myers on the 3rd.
