Panorama has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will challenge the Kennedy Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Panorama will be strutting in after a win while Kennedy will be coming in after a defeat.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Panorama proved on Friday. They blew past Lake Balboa College Prep 50-29.
Among those leading the charge was Christian Vargas, who scored 15 points. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Eduardo Munguia was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Kennedy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 50-40 to Granada Hills Charter. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 891st, while Granada Hills Charter is ranked 50th).
The losses dropped Panorama to 1-3 and Lake Balboa College Prep to 0-2.
Panorama took a serious blow against Kennedy in their previous matchup back in February, falling 86-14. Can Panorama avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
