On Saturday, the Tonopah Muckers's game was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 24-23 photo finish over Carlin. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tonopah also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Carlin's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kylie Kennedy, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds. The game was Kennedy's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caileigh Shilts, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Tonopah back to even at 2-2. As for Carlin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Tonopah will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eureka at 2:00 p.m. on December 15th. Carlin is on the road again on Thursday and play against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 5:20 p.m. on December 7th.
