Jesus Rivera turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Monday. He pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Coachella Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-7 otherwise.

Rivera's strong effort led Coachella Valley over Twentynine Palms and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Mighty Arabs are 8-2 against the Wildcats going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
