The Chambers Academy Rebels will be playing at home against the Escambia Academy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chambers Academy has nine straight wins, Escambia Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Chambers Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Glenwood, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
Meanwhile, Escambia Academy came up short against Fort Dale Academy on Friday and fell 35-22.
Keller Coston put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 172 yards and a touchdown. Quinton Odom also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Chambers Academy's victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.64 points. As for Escambia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Chambers Academy against Escambia Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 56-12 win.
