Omaha Westside is 2-8 against Millard South since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. On Tuesday, Omaha Westside came up short against Lincoln Southeast and fell 51-40.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Elise Pederson, who scored eight points along with five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Jenkins, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Millard South took their matchup on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-28 victory over Omaha Northwest. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-17.
Omaha Westside has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Millard South, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.
Omaha Westside took a serious blow against Millard South when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 74-46. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Omaha Westside was down 47-20.
