Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Notre Dame couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Mount St. Mary Academy Lions by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Irish's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
