After three games on the road, Greenwood is heading back home. They will take on the Westside Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Greenwood is ranked 38th, while Westside is ranked 55th).
Last Friday, Greenwood didn't have too much trouble with Berea on the road as they won 69-50.
Greenwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Brooks, who scored 16 points. Brooks hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Nyjaviese Duncan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Westside unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 74-53 loss at the hands of Greenville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Westside has suffered since December 20, 2023.
Greenwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Westside, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.
Greenwood was taken down by Westside 65-36 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Greenwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
