The Alchesay Falcons can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Thatcher 61-33 on the road. The victory was just what Alchesay needed coming off of a 74-43 loss in their prior matchup.
Jazlyn Nosie was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight steals and seven assists. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ramona Gregg was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Thatcher still got an impressive performance from Jade Griffin, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Alchesay's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Thatcher, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
Alchesay will head out on the road to challenge Monument Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Monument Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday. As for Thatcher, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Coolidge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
