If the Creekside Knights were feeling good off their 76-50 takedown of the Harvest Community Warriors on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Creekside took a 57-38 bruising from Bolles on Friday. It was the first time this season that Creekside let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: Nolan Nelson scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Collier, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Bolles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from CJ Ennis, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ennis has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ferguson, who scored 17 points along with six assists and three steals.
Creekside's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Bolles, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creekside will take on Nease at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bolles, they will head out on the road to face off against Orange Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orange Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Bolles is ranked 192nd).
