 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Marathon was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 626  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 152  rushing yards in nine consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 The  victory  got Marathon back to even at 2-2. As for Canterbury,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-3.
 Marathon has the luxury  of staying home for another  week and will welcome Palm Glades Prep Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Canterbury, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00  p.m.  on September 27th.
