The Shawnee Braves will take on the Minster Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Shawnee sitting on ten straight wins and Minster on four.
On Wednesday, Shawnee narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past North Union 2-1.
Alee Trimmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addy Plummer was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Minster took on New Bremen on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Cardinals 14-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
Brooklyn Osterloh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Osterloh was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Brianna Osterloh looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Reece Albers, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Rylin Trego, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Minster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Bremen only posted an OBP of .167.
Shawnee pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Minster, their record now sits at 12-2.
