Rosewood is on a five-game streak of home losses, the Wildcats a 12-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Rosewood Eagles will take on the Hobbton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Tuesday, Rosewood came up short against the Leopards and fell 36-25. Rosewood has not had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Hobbton took a serious blow against the Rebels on Tuesday, falling 59-15. While losing is never fun, Hobbton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Rebels are ranked 212th).
Rosewood's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Hobbton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Rosewood strolled past the Wildcats when the teams last played back in January by a score of 40-22. Will Rosewood repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
